ABOUT THE SPONSOR:
Little Seeds is dedicated to preserving and creating pollinator habitat in communities across the United States. Since 2017, Little Seeds has partnered with the National Wildlife Federation to help distribute over 1,500 monarch garden kits to schools in the Central Monarch Migration Corridor. The Pollinator Pal Grant is their latest effort to raise awareness about declining pollinator populations and to encourage habitat plantings that can provide valuable sources of food and serve as breeding areas for pollinators.
2021 Little Seeds Pollinator Pals Grant
The Little Seeds Pollinator Pals Grant presented by Little Seeds and KidsGardening is designed to support youth garden programs interested in preserving and creating pollinator habitat to help rebuild declining pollinator populations. In 2021, eighteen programs will be awarded a check for $500 to support the development of new and expansion of existing pollinator gardens in communities across the United States.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY
Any nonprofit organization, public or private school, or youth program in the United States serving at least 15 youth between the ages of 2 and 14 is eligible to apply. Programs must be planning a new pollinator garden or expanding an existing one designed to teach youth about the importance of pollinators.
18 programs will receive checks for $500 to spend on materials to establish or augment pollinator habitat.
Applications are due on Friday, July 30, 2021 by 11:59 pm PT.
All applications must be submitted online. You can download a copy of the questions to view ahead of time as a Word document or .pdf file. We strongly advise saving the questions into a Word document and then copying and pasting the answers into the application rather than composing your answers directly into the online form.
