Lessons to Grow By: Plant Parts

Learning about how the different parts function is essential to exploring plant growth and development. The foundational knowledge gained in this unit will contribute to understanding how to care for the plants in our gardens and environment.

The Plant Parts unit is comprised of six modules. This unit is appropriate for grades 3-5, but can easily be adapted up or down.

Module 1: Roots
Module 2: Stems
Module 3: Leaves
Module 4: Sporangia, Cones, and Flowers
Module 5: Fruits
Module 6: Seeds
