Ava joined the KidsGardening team as an intern in 2025. She is a student at the University of Vermont, and will graduate in May of 2025. Ava is completing her B.A. degree in Environmental Studies with a double minor in Community and International Development and Health and Society. Her studies and passions align with KidsGardening missions including sustainability, equity, public health, and community.

Ava learned about gardening and the environment at a young age on her aunt and uncle’s farm in Vermont. Visiting the farm was an annual highlight of hers growing up because she would spend time outside gardening and exploring. Through interning at KidsGardening, Ava is excited to help children worldwide have similar learning experiences, but in their own hometowns and schools.

Most of Ava’s free time goes towards being a member of the University of Vermont’s Cross Country and Track team. She enjoys running and being a part of an amazing team. When she is not completing school or running, Ava enjoys spending time outside, puzzling, playing the guitar, and watching sports!
