2025 Summer Photo Contest

We have FIVE fun categories and will choose TEN winners! We are excited to see how your garden grows. Enter below, or at the link to your right.

Categories

Kids in the garden. Kids being kids in the garden! Silly, serious, watering, harvesting, nibbling, working, or resting young gardeners.

Family, friends, community. Youth gardening is often a community endeavor. Show us kids WITH the adults who make the garden possible.

My garden. Kids, take a photo of your garden! Whether it's indoor or outdoor, hydroponic or aquaponic, in a raised bed or in a bucket, we can't wait to see what makes your garden special. (These photos should be taken by kids. Please note the first name and age of photographer in the caption.)

Garden creatures. Pollinators, worms, insects, and pets in the garden!

Garden lessons. Show us garden-based learning in action! Garden art, science, kindness, empathy, service projects, and more. (Please tell us about the garden lessons learned in the caption.)

Privacy

Please note: If you aren't comfortable showing children's faces, we encourage you to get creative! Over kids' shoulders, showing their backs, or only showing their hands are all welcome photographs.

By submitting a photo to the KidsGardening Summer Photo Contest, you agree to the terms and conditions.

Prizes

A total of ten winners will be chosen. Two photographs will be chosen from each of the above five categories, for a total of ten category winners.

Each winner will be awarded a fun prize package that includes:

• 2 picture books (Five winners will receive a copy of Linden: The story of a tree)
• Seeds
• Grow bag
• Olivia’s Organics coupon (regional dependent)

Our favorite photo will receive the above prize package PLUS a special prize from Gurney's!

Winners will be contacted and announced on September 30, 2025.

Rules

Two photo entries per child or program.

Entries must be received by 11:59pm Pacific on September 8, 2025.

International entries are welcome, but only folks with U.S. based addresses will be considered for prizes.

You may not use AI to generate a photo.

Photos with watermarks will not be considered for a prize.
