The school year has started, and our 2026 Waterwise Garden Grant is now open!

Hunter Industries and KidsGardening are working together to offer the Waterwise Garden Grant to support public and charter schools planning to teach about water conservation, water stewardship, and responsible water management through gardening.
We have streamlined our grant application process and created a Common Application form. To apply for the Waterwise Garden Grant, use our Common Application form and apply by the deadline. You can also apply for the Youth Garden Grant and GroMoreGood Grassroots Grant at the same time.
In 2026, twenty-five elementary schools and/or middle schools will be awarded $1,000 - $2,250 in funding and an irrigation supply kit valued at $500.
The deadline for application submission is Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:59 pm PT.
Next year, this grant will be open to high schools nationwide, so stay tuned if this grant sounds like something your school is interested in!
