We are seeking a part-time Community Partnerships Coordinator based in the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire to support local educators and strengthen community-rooted fundraising efforts.

Position Summary

The Community Partnerships Coordinator supports Upper Valley garden-based educators and community partners while also providing development and operational support to KidsGardening. This role plays an important part in growing our local impact and helping us strengthen our relationships, revenue, and long term sustainability.

This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. The schedule is flexible. Daytime availability during standard business hours is required. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed for community events with advance notice.

Candidates must live in the Upper Valley and will work in our Thetford, Vermont office at least one day per week.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $28,000 annually for 50% FTE.
This is an exempt, at-will position.

Key Responsibilities

Upper Valley Educator and Community Support (approximately 40%). Serve as the primary point of contact for Upper Valley garden-based educators and partners in Vermont and New Hampshire by maintaining regular communication, sharing resources and funding opportunities, coordinating local meetings and events, tracking relationships and community needs, and stewarding the Upper Valley Youth Gardening Group within the Kids Garden Community platform.

Development and Fundraising Administration (approximately 40%). Maintain accurate donor and grant records, prepare acknowledgments and follow-up communications, support grant reporting logistics by gathering and formatting required information, assist with mailings and donor tracking systems, help prepare materials for funders and partners, and oversee the annual charity registration process.

Program and General Operations Support (approximately 20%). Fulfillment of curriculum orders, schedule meetings and track action items, support program logistics including forms and follow-ups, maintain shared files and documentation, respond to general inquiries, and assist with basic data tracking and summaries.

Qualifications

Required

  • Residence in the Upper Valley (VT/NH region)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a virtual team
  • Resourceful and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfort using spreadsheets, shared documents, and basic databases
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility

Preferred

  • Experience working with schools, educators, youth programs, farm to school initiatives, and/or gardening
  • Experience with nonprofit administration or fundraising support
  • Familiarity with the Upper Valley community
