KidsGardening Grant Opportunities

KidsGardening offers a variety of grants to new and existing youth garden programs across the nation. Each funding opportunity has its own timeline, defining features, eligibility requirements, and reporting expectations. We encourage you to explore our grant programs below to see which one might be the best fit for your particular situation. Garden Volunteer Connection Opportunity

RSM and KidsGardening are working together to connect local RSM office teams with youth garden programs across the country. If your garden needs some volunteer help, apply to host a group of RSM volunteers and receive a $300 award check. Select locations only.

Deadline: April 17, 2026.

Lots of Compassion Grant

Together, Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day and KidsGardening designed the Lots of Compassion Grant program to support local leaders looking to transform vacant lots into gardens to help grow compassion in their community. In 2026, 10 grantees will receive $20,000 each to transform a vacant lot into a garden. A total of $200,000 will be awarded annually.

The 2026 grant will open on April 2, 2026. Deadline: June 15, 2026.

GroMoreGood Grassroots Grant

The GroMoreGood Grassroots Grant, brought to you by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation and KidsGardening, is designed to bring the life-enhancing benefits of gardens to communities across the United States.

The 2026 grant is now closed. Applicants will be notified of their award status in March.
