2021 Little Seeds Pollinator Pals Grant
The Little Seeds Pollinator Pals Grant presented by Little Seeds and KidsGardening is designed to support youth garden programs interested in preserving and creating pollinator habitat to help rebuild declining pollinator populations. In 2021, eighteen programs will be awarded a check for $500 to support the development of new and expansion of existing pollinator gardens in communities across the United States. Applications are due July 30, 2021.

The GroMoreGood Grassroots Grant, brought to you by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation and KidsGardening, is designed to bring the life-enhancing benefits of gardens to communities across the United States. In 2021, 175 grants worth a collective total of $100,000 will be awarded. The application is now closed. Winners will be announced March 19, 2021.
2021 Youth Garden Grant
The Youth Garden Grant is open to any nonprofit organization, public or private school, or youth program in the United States or US Territories planning a new garden program or expanding an established one. If your program serves at least 15 youth between the ages of 3 and 18, we encourage you to apply. The application for the 2021 Youth Garden Grant is now closed. Winners will be announced and contacted by email on Friday, January 29, 2021.
2020 Carton 2 Garden Contest
The Carton 2 Garden Contest, sponsored by Evergreen Packaging, was open to public and private schools. Contest winners were selected based on their implementation of an innovative garden creation featuring creative and sustainable uses for repurposed milk and juice cartons. 2021 Budding Botanist Grant
Designed to further the mission of the Klorane Botanical Foundation, the Budding Botanist grant will help our students learn about plants, explore their world and inspire them to take care of the life they discover in their local ecosystems. Designed to further the mission of the Klorane Botanical Foundation, the Budding Botanist grant will help our youngest citizens learn about plants, explore their world and inspire them to take care of the life they discover in their local ecosystems. Title 1 public and private schools in the US are eligible to apply. Applications were due November 8, 2019. Please meet the 2020 Budding Botanist awardees!
2019 Carton 2 Garden
The fifth annual national Carton 2 Garden Contest, sponsored by Evergreen Packaging, is now accepting registrations! Open to public and private schools, contest winners will be selected based on their implementation of an innovative garden creation featuring creative and sustainable uses for repurposed milk and juice cartons. Your school can get started by collecting at least 100 empty cartons from your home, community, or cafeteria.
Fifteen (15) entries will be selected to receive award packages for their efforts. Entries were due Monday, March 25, 2019.
2019 Gro More Grassroots Grant
In 2019, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation and KidsGardening will award 175 grants worth a collective total of $100,000. 150 grant recipients will be awarded a check for $500 to support their initiatives. The top 25 programs will receive a check for $1,000. Applications were due February 15, 2019. Read about our winners!
2019 Youth Garden Grant
The 2019 Youth Garden Grant is open to any nonprofit organization, public or private school, or youth program in the United States or US Territories planning a new garden program or expanding an established one. If your program serves at least 15 youth between the ages of 3 and 18, we encourage you to apply.
A total of 25 programs will be awarded, with the top 5 programs receiving award packages worth $2175 in cash and gardening gear, and 20 programs receiving packages worth $575! Applications are due December 17, 2018.
2019 Budding Botanist
Designed to further the mission of the Klorane Botanical Foundation, the Budding Botanist grant will help our youngest citizens learn about plants, explore their world and inspire them to take care of the life they discover in their local ecosystems.
Title 1 public and private schools in the US are eligible to apply. Grant packages valued at $3,000 in cash and supplies will be awarded to six schools across the United States. Applications were due November 19, 2018. Congratulations to the 2019 Budding Botanist awardees!
SPRING 2018 CARTON 2 GARDEN
The fourth annual national Carton 2 Garden Contest, sponsored by Evergreen Packaging, closed on Monday, April 16, 2018. Open to public and private schools, contest winners are selected based on their implementation of an innovative garden creation featuring creative and sustainable uses for repurposed milk and juice cartons.
Fourteen schools were awarded prize packages, including a grand prize worth $5,000! A complete list of winners is available on Carton2Garden.com and KidsGardening.org.
2018 BUDDING BOTANIST GRANT
The 2018 Budding Botanist Grant sponsored by Klorane Botanical Foundation is designed to further their mission to support programs to teach respect for the environment and protect nature through the preservation of plant species and biodiversity. Awarded programs will help our youngest citizens learn about plants, explore their world and inspire them to take care of the life they discover in their local ecosystems. Applications were due on January 31, 2018. Winners will be announced on March 1, 2018.
2018 YOUTH GARDEN GRANT
The 2018 Youth Garden Grant is an award designed to support school and youth educational garden projects that enhance the quality of life for students and their communities. Any nonprofit organization, public or private school, or youth program in the United States planning a new garden program or expanding an established one that serves at least 15 youth between the ages of 3 and 18 is eligible to apply. 2018 Youth Garden Grant applications were due on December 8, 2017. Winners will be announced and notified on January 12, 2018.

2017 YOUTH GARDEN GRANT
Since 1982, KidsGardening has awarded Youth Garden Grants to 5436 schools, nonprofits, and youth programs across the United States contributing over 2.9 million dollars in funding to youth gardening initiatives. The 2017 Youth Garden Grant is sponsored by KidsGardening’s generous donor base with contributions from AeroGrow International, Inc., Eartheasy, Fiskars Brands, Gardener’s Supply Company, High Mowing Organic Seeds, Nature Hills, and SmartPots.
Eat. Learn. Live. and Grow Grant
Planting the seeds of health and wellness, The 2016 Eat. Learn. Live. and Grow Grant sponsored by Chartwells K12 in partnership withKidsGardening.org offers funding for schools seeking to enhance their curriculum and offer food and nutrition education through an edible garden program. Any public or private school in the U.S. serving students in grades K to 12 and planning a new or expanding an established garden program is eligible to apply. The selection of winners will be based on demonstrated or potential program impact and sustainability in addition to how well the program connects to the theme “How Do You Eat. Learn. Live. and Grow?”
Fall 2016 Team Up for Healthy School Gardens Grant
Join Jamba Juice and KidsGardening.org as we Team Up for Healthy School Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona! By the end of 2016, Jamba Juice will have provided close to 250 grants totaling $130,000 for schools and youth gardens. Now that’s a great reason for us all to raise a smoothie!
